There are different kinds of chicken farms. One type is for producing eggs. The chickens are small birds that are specifically bred to maximize egg production. Because to their small size, it is not profitable to use these animals for their meat. Other type of farm breds birds to maximize their size for meat, especially breast size. These birds are called "broilers". There are conventional farms as well as organic farms and for eggs and meat.
